Default I have lost V-TEC. Can someone help me???

OK, I was going over some of my datalog files and I realized that I never hit V-TEC. In it's place, I'm getting a V-TEC pressure code (code 22 on my P28 ECU). That's why my car is so damn slow. So can anyone help me? The code first starting happening when I put the turbo on and was going very fast. full throttle at 80 mph I throw the code but I'm not getting V-TEC before that either. Can someone help me? Did I tap vacuum in the wrong place? I have no idea what I did wrong. Please help.

BTW, my VTECH phone is working fine so that will save some of you guys some time.

It's not vtec either...
It's VTEC (all caps)

Lost your VTEC? Hmm.. check between your seats, I know mine always falls in there

No really, check your oil level, you might be running low.

Check your wires the could be bare in a spot and have shorted the solenoid out, also your ecu could be bad i had a bad one, or maybee you VTEC solinoid is clooged take it off and look at it

If you are running fish tank check valves then get rid of them and get the missing link.....when ever your check engine light comes on your car is in safe mode so VTEC wont kick in....for the fish tank check valves you might not have enough...if you are not running check valves then ohm out your VTEC solinoid to see if it is bad......just some thoughts

I don't use check valves or a missing link. I have Hondata. Thats how I found out which code it was.

How much oil do you guys think I should put in over the normal amount?

Thanks VTC_slow_CiViC, but no luck. Maybe I left it in the house.

"0" If your oil level and pressure are normal there should be no need for more oil. Check the solenoid wiring. Make sure you have continuity back to the ecu. Check the solenoid itself, too. Also, I did know one other person with a Hondata unit who ended up with mysterious codes (meaning the hard parts checked ok). Ended up being a bad ecu.

My $.02

I'm going to pull off the solinoid tonight and check it. I'll check the wiring while I'm there. I'll post later on tonight.

Wouldn't he need to add more oil because of the oil that goes to the turbo?

Not really because it's a very minimal amount.

check all vtec lines and make sure everything is connected with the ecu.

You might just have a bad VTEC pressure switch.
thats what a code 22 is.

Do you know how to fix that? What should I do? I called Hondata and they said it can't be a problem with the ECU because if it was, the code wouldn't show. How do I check for a bad V-TEC pressure switch?
