Default 99 Accord V6 - New Audio System

Hi everyone, I'm going to replace a new audio system on my car. My question is the Volume/Chanel Control on the steering wheel will work with the new audio system? How to know the new audio system has wires for that?

Thank you,

Danny

I know for some Alpine and Pioneer radios there is an extra piece you can buy that will make your steering wheel controls work.

What Kenwood do you have? I intended to get Kenwood KDC HD545U. I'm interesting in this too. Also thanks to PVT6

For future reference, search crutchfield.com for this kind of stuff. They usually have the answers, such as this:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127SWIJ...K.html?tp=3405

I've heard these can be a bit of a pain to install on occasion, so definitely read the instructions carefully! Also, I'm sure there are other items that can do this same thing, so look around a bit first before you decide.

Good luck!

Im not sure of the exact model number but i was just wondering if there was a way to hook it up without any aditional accesories. There is a wire coming from the back of the head unit saying remote interface or something similar.

That sounds like the remote turn on, which is NOT for your steering wheel controls.

You need an add-on, sorry man. They don't make them just because they can.
