Default b16 wont stay running because of IACV?

I have a 97 sedan dx wit a obd2 b16 swap and a 96 obd2 gsr ecu. Ran fine till I got off work and started the car. Idle lobed 2 or 3 times then died. Now it won't start or run unless my foot is on the gas. Never had this problem before. Code 14 cel. Any ideas would be geratly appretiated. Thanks all.

After the engine starts, does it run fine?

What specific OBDII IACV code do you have? There's more than one.

Code 14 is the OBDI code. What OBDII code is pulled by a code reader?

Some auto parts stores will pull OBDII codes for free. The specific code will help you pinpoint the troubleshooting.

If you reset the ECU, does the same code return?

After the engine starts, does it run fine?

It won't start or stay running unless I give it gas. And yes code returns after reset.

You are not understanding the question. Once the engine is running, does it run smoothly above idle speed or does it misfire and run poorly?

Oh ok. Yes when rpms are up it runs smooth. When I let off it bogs down

Okay, so it's just an idle issue. Pull the OBDII codes and post them. Did you already clean the IACV? Is the IACV plugged in? What color are the wires that run to the IACV plug?

A dirty IACV can cause high or low idle speeds.

What if these are the conditions? My car wouldnt rev much higher than idle speed with out mis firing and spitting black residoo out the muffler leaving trail on the ground. After this happend i blew out my basemap and noticed it has a short in iacv cuz my car does not want to stay on, I unplugged it and noticed a faint beep noise fade away.. plugged it back in and heard faint beep confirming the short.

If someone can help i would really appreciate it. I posted here because i am new and not sure where to post my own thread but this is almost the same question so tried here first.
