Icon2 cel and loss of power

1988 four door ef auto to manual conversion by me, mpfi by me,
obd1 injectors and clips. no resistor box ef si ecu, alright so the bulb on my ecu is burnt out i guess, but anyways i drive my car around usually after driving for about 20 minutes, less if i beat, on it the check engine light comes on and i feel a huge loss in power like noticable and its really annoying cuz i cant check the code on my ecu. i tried jumping it from the under hood plug but it wont even flash on my dash. anyways anyone thats experienced this let me know what you think or pm me if you know exactly why. im thinking my o2 sensor because i ran a pr4 and my car showed code 42 or 43 whichever ones fuel supply so my car was running rich which may **** up the o2 sensor im not sure anyways i need some help on this guys i got beat by my friends dual port then turn my car off and back on on the freeway and walked him, thanks

Cheapest solution, replace your gas cap.

I don't think it's my gas cap even though I can smelll gas 24/7 I know I have a leake somewhere cuz if I blow into my fuel return hose the one that comes off the fpr I can hear air pressure coming out by my back tire and in yet to figure what it is

Well when you are trying to look at your code, do the paper clip to short it out and then look at your ECU and the red light will flash there not on your dash. And then go from there.

So since the bulb on my ecu doesn't work when my cel comes on on the dash it will when I jump it? Cuz I've jumped it several times and stares blankly at the dash with no result it's stupid

Alright well or my codes idk what happened but it's flashing now lol but uh code 16 and code 30 and like I said my check engine light doesn't come on till after like 20 to 30 minutes of driving. But I feel a loss of power it's weird and annoying. Now I did convert my car to 5 speed but I dont see why It would show code 30 unless I have an automatic ecu from a Ef ex, really stumped come on ht
