a bad oil pump can cause you to spin a rod bearing

so that knocking sound from the bottom could be a spinning rod bearing? i know my oil pump is bad because the oil pressure light starts blinking after idling for while and goes away when rpm goes up. and there a leak when i keep revving, looks like its coming from the oil pump/oil pan gasket area. would changing the oil pump eliminate that rod bearing sound? or my block is completely bad and have to replace it along with the oil pump? im trying to find the cheapest way to fix it. dont have the budget to do a complete swap right now.

actually i looked at alot of bad rod bearing video and my car doesnt sound like that knocking sound. its more of a grind/rattle. it could be something else rather than the rod bearing. anyone else could help me figure this out?

First of all, why are you even driving a car which you know has a shot oil pump? Do you want to ruin the car or something?

Well why not start with the obvious, replace the oil pump, your valves also are pretty noisy, check and adjust if needed. Pulling the valve cover to inspect the valve clearance may also rule out some things that could have excessive wear since H23a1's don't have forced oiling the the valvetrain is the furthest thing from the already bad oil pump.
