Injector dynamics 1000cc
hey guys, i have a set of injector dynamics 1000cc injectors with the blue adapters, for B series. i have a golden eagle pro-series fuel rail. the injectors with the blue cap on them wont fit into my fuel rail, if i put the blue caps on the bottom toward the intake manifold they seem to fit. im lost. anyone have pics of theirs? i need help...
thanks
thanks
First off they definately go on top of the injector into the rail not into the intake manifold on the bottom of the injector.
My adapters are also red. B series are not their own adapters, the red adapters (11mm) from T1 race development are for b, d, f, and h series.
Did you get these injectors from ID distributor? Did you try calling them to see what they sent and get the correct adapters?

Hrm well I dont know then if ID/ T1 changed things since I bought them. I am sure Tony will see this when he is on here.
For reference though. I have these in the link in my car with red adapters, injector on the left in the picture.

so the bigger part of the hat is not suppose to fit into the fuel rail? the smaller end with the O-ring when it goes inside the fuel rail is not snug, its pretty loose and can move side to side.
That's not good.
This isn't too tough though:
your fuel rail either has 11mm or 14mm pockets (you'll have to tell us)
your ID1000 adapters are 11mm
if your fuel rail has 14mm pockets, the 11mm adapters are not going to work for you....
if you take the adapters off, does the injector fit snug in the rail?

im not sure if my fuel rail is 11mm or 14mm. i will measure it.
if i take the adapters off the injector fit and go inside the fuel rail all the way up to the smaller hole and if i squeeze it in there it fits nice and snug, however there is a gap on the part where it's suppose to go in the intake manifold, it falls short from entering it.

Cool, so you have a 14mm rail.
You could try taking out those plastic fuel rail spacers to get the injector down into the manifold (maybe space it correctly with a couple washers) or get the 14mm ID1000 adapters. The 14mm ones I have in-stock are purple, if you like to go by colors.

my adapters for my gsr were red too. But i didn't even use them. I just stuck the injectors straight in to the fuel rail. They fit snug and better than with the adapters on.
If you don't use the adapters just adjust the spacers to lower your fuel rail towards the intake manifold.

The B series rails are 11mm, which requires the blue adaptors (used to be red, they're blue now). That rail is 14mm. I've never seen a 14mm GE B series rail, but that is one. Maybe was drilled out, maybe custom, who knows. Either way, it needs the 14mm tops. That being the case, if the height was ok, you could run the injectors without the tops, but if you can't move the rail down far enough, you'll need the 14mm tops (purple ones).
