also the sleeve is going to be bore out to .40 over the stock bore so it should be around 82 mm.

wisco
cp
arias
ross

are all great forged pistons ...i would go with a 9.5.1 cp ratio

i have used CP pistons with no problems, very high quality

also a good budget choice is wiseco,

i call ross pistons "ready melts"

Go with CP or Arias. Although Arias makes a good product, hopefully you don't get screwed like I did and get sent the wrong rings with the pistons. I rebuilt my motor 3 times trying to diagnose the issue and the problem was they sent me the wrong rings twice! Idiots! Call Elmer... He's the only one that know's what he's doing.

Also, I agree with 1sicef9... Go with 9.5:1. You'll be happy you went above 9. If you can run E85 go with at least 10:1

ya i think i decided to go with wiseco pistons and probally will go with 9. 5.1. but another question i have is the sleeves are gonna be bored out to .40 over the stock and will that bring the cp up? the head is stock and not milled.

No, bore wont change your compression. The headgasket you get may...

Also why are you only going to 82 on a sleeved block?

For 400 whp I would look at something from 9.5:1 to 10.8:1. The higher compression will help with low end power and you will achieve your HP goals with less boost. It takes more boost to make the same power with lower compression. Look to tune with something like an s300 and e85 fuel.

its cuz i bought the block used and it was already bored out .20 over and one of the sleeve was little scratch. yea its gonna be tuned on s300.
i would go with e85 but my car is gonna be daily driven and there is not many gas station with e85 over here.

Are you sure a simple ball hone will fix your scratch? Why don't you just spend the $150 to bore it to 84mm and have the block hot tanked so it's perfect and you can paint it. You will enjoy the difference in driving an 84 vs 82mm. It will be noticable.

E85 is much better too. I drove with it in my daily and there was only one station I could get it from. You just have to fill up more often. Up to you...
