Turbo B16 vs. CSRT-4 (video inside!!!)
Ok, so I went to the local 1/8 mile drag strip this weekend and did two runs against a Caliber SRT-4 (2.4liter I believe). They didn't have the timer up yet (new track). I've got 8psi on a Garrett T3/T4OE 57trim w/ .63A/R. This guy said he's running completely stock (10psi) but I've heard they can run up to 15psi on the factory TD04. I got the jump on him both times (my launch control & 2100lbs>his factory boost control & 3200lbs) but once he gained traction he started reeling me in hard. I'm not too familiar w/ the CSRT-4's but it was a lot meaner than I expected! I hear they run low 14's stock. So, I'm confused... for anyone that knows, is it 10psi stock or 15psi on these? Was he pulling a fast one on me? is my tune just that shitty? or are they just that quick? haha!
p.s. at 8psi I'd like to think I could at least approach low 14's if not break into the high 13's w/ a B16... maybe I'm wrong though...
Thoughts? This is 2 videos of the runs I'm talking about... Hopefully this helps...

i had a untuned b16 on 10psi running constant 13.5-13.6 . those are also a 15psi stock i work for a chrysler dealer and no they are not that fast. best one "stock" i have seen run ran a 14.69 at 85mph. i would get a retune if i was a good well known tuner in your area. you can at least 275-300 i would think on a stock b16. get some slicks and a lil 2-step in your tune at around 7000 rpm and and practice driving. g/l man
Thanks for the reply calboi! I've been thinking about getting a retune lately. Wouldn't hurt so that's probably what I'll do. So were you doing mid 13's on slicks or street tires?
