Default A/C Issue for a 96 civic

A friend of mine has a 96 Civic & the air was blowing slightly cool air. We got a vacuum pump, gauges & freon.
After vacuuming the system for 20 minutes, we shut off the pump and it didnt blead off (no leak). When I was charging the system, it took forever to take the freon. After 2 cans, it seemed it wouldnt take anymore. According to a thermometer, it was blowing close to 50* out of the vents at idle. The next afternoon it was blowing slightly cool air again. I have done A/C on the past & I have done things the correct way (I actually did my car at the same time & mine is still doing fine).
Has anyone have any idea what could cause this? Clog? The compressor comes on & runs good... Like I said, there isnt a leak, the vacuum did not bleed off.

Thanks in advance.

Does the condenser fan run?

Have you measured the refrigerant pressures on both the low and high sides?

You need to know the high and low side refrigerant pressures to diagnose the problem. Also note the outside temperature and conditions (e.g., idle speed) when the measurements were made.

I had a similar problem with my ac. It turned out to be the gaskets between each coupling along the ac lines needed to be replaced. Since I replaced them ac has been blowing ice cold.
