ok i did a y7 to y8 intake manifold swap using y8 harness,tb,injectors,fpr and y7 ecu and i having a problem at 1500 rpm it kinda cuts off or jumps like a launch control and it makes it kinda difficult to drive i try using a p28 and po6 and it drives like crap but it doesnt do the cut off then i use a p2e ex ecu and it doesnt do the cut off but then it doesnt go past 5k then i used a p28 chipped and it runs somewhat ok and doesnt cut off but its just tuned for b series so too much gas i dont kno what to do anymore im out of options also im using a y7 header and my o2s are not connected could that be the prob??????????

 

why would you use a y8 harness when you have a y7 motor?

 

because i was planning on doing a mini me swap with the y8 head

 

y8 5 speed harness has a 2 wire iacv did you do this? then thats why because the y7 ecu uses a 3 wire iacv and this will not work. you need your y7 harness untill u do the swap so u can use your 3wire iacv untill u do the swap and use a y8 ecu.
