Default ITB's + Plenum and intake pipe DYNO?

Hello.

I have a Skunk2 pro 2'd 81.5mm LS/vtec

218whp/153tq (dyno dynamics)

My intake setup is a port-matched p73 Type R manifold with a 68mm-64mm tapered throttle body---into a 3" shortram intake pipe with 6" velocity stack and AEM filter.

I want to try a ITB setup with a plenum and an intake + filter. I know TWM does an optional plenum for their ITB's. The reason I want this setup is for the air filter (my car is daily driven)

My problem is.............I can't find anyone with this setup. I also cannot find one DYNO GRAPH with an ITB and Plenum.

Do you think a setup like I described would be worth doing over my current setup?

Can anyone help me find any dyno graph with ITB's + Plenum?

Thanks
Brian

I have a good tuner. He has tuned close to a thousand cars. Here on H-T, people keep bugging me for my cam settings with my pro2's . My tuner told me not to disclose. He's right.

scroll down near the bottom of the page for my setup:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...583606&page=28

a cool day + octane boost + 94 octane + good tuner + a solid setup = good numbers ............and an empty wallet.

My setup was one of the highest stock bore/stock sleeve LSvtec's he's done . Stock TSX's dyno 163-165 on this particular dyno.

Get Pro2's man.....I have yet to read a post of someone complaining about their numbers with pro2's

you're not going to gain anything from that ITB, check out BMC Race, they have some new intake manifolds for honda and alot of big guys are switching to that, they also have some all motor IM as well

^^I agree, you might get more power if the ITBs were custom Jenveys or Kinslers.

ITB's generally increase area under the torque curve, but not a lot of extra power added to the HP. You'll get the results youre looking for with a properly flowed and tuned manifold. Work with an engineer that has a great deal of experience with a flowbench and WAVE simulators to do it right the first time.

Maybe something like this, Kinslers. Not ITB but really cool. What about a Px or Vx?

cam gear settings are uselses to anyone else but you. when building an engine you need to degree in the cams for what you have considering gasket thickness, how much decked off the head and block ect.. giving out those numbers will benifit absolutly no one.

hit the nail on the head.
hide the numbers if it makes you feel better but they are not magic settings that will make power for everyone. The point of adjustable cam gears is to compensate for all sorts of variables once the stock alignment marks get you close.

as for ITBs, they are going to need to be matched to your setup quite precisely if you want to make more power with them.

You're right.....people keep asking though in my inbox, I have no control over that.
Let's keep on topic.
