INTAKE
OK, ive searched and searched and still cant find the answer to my question... best intake for under $500?? ive heard AEM v2 and Injen cold air have "best dyno" results, but risk hydro-locking.... Js and Mugen(sp?) look badass first off but do have the best quality, but i havent heard any real results on hp gains.... so idk what to do!! please help, tell me what u would get
Best intake under $500? I'm sorry but you gotta be dumb or rich to spend that kinda dough for an intake. If you're worried about hydrolock get a short ram like the K&N FPIK or something along those lines. Or you could just be ghetto and clamp a filter directly onto your TB. Ghetto racer 4 lyfe.
filter on a stick style intakes give the most power on the dyno......
snorkles you won't get any numbers on the dyno... but on the street/track you will feel a little difference

whoever installed that icebox did not adjust the hood opener thing (the piece that keeps the hood up when working on the car) yeah whatever that thing is called. you have to bend it slightly to make it work with the icebox otherwise it rubs

yep.. or remember to push down the carbon fiber cover before you close the hood again..

i'm an avid proponent of the comptech icebox...
gets you the best of both worlds, carb legal, plus some fashion
i can also get that to you for $329 plus shipping

Agree, under $500 go V2 or AEM cold air.

cool cool, thanx dudes... hmmm so v2 or comptech.... hp wise go v2? and comptech looks badass i kno.... ill probably go w/ the comptech. i guess a few hp difference isnt much.... Well other than intake what other mods do u guys have??
I used have the ARC Intake box and Chamber but I can't notice any different beside it's look nice in the engine bay. I switch to Injen CAI afterward and I can feel the different pass 6000 RPM. But the engine bay looks empty....
^^^ You're talking about a guy that claims he searched far and wide and couldnt find a thread anywhere that discussed what the best intake system for the S2000 was...lol (considering 98% of them are in fact under $500).

I got the AEM v2, it is da shiz. Noticeable power with a dragon's roar at full throttle. No problems waterlockin, the undertray keeps the filter protected. Just keep your eyes open for parking lot lakes.
