Default Starter engages as soon as positive terminal is connected. HELP

So I had the starter out to clean the grime off it. I soaked it with simple green, and then power washed it off. Now that its back in, the starter engages as soon as the battery is connected with or without the key on. With the key in the acc position, the fuel pump runs continuously. It doesn't do the normal prime, then stop. When turning the key to start, the car doesn't start, the pump still runs and the starter is still engaged. Any ideas?

You ****ed your starter. Get a new one. If your fuel pump doesn't stop priming, turn it off immediately. You can burn out the fuel pump.

Oh, I didn't actually let it soak in anything, I just mean I sprayed a bunch of simple green on it. But I think you're right, it's F##KED. The problem was actually at the wiring on the starter. I tightened the nut too much and the contact turned on the starter and was contacting the body of the starter. Once I loosened it, and moved it off the body the starter stopped engaging and also the fuel pump primed then stopped. I must have fried the starter though, because it just makes a clunking sound now and doesn't turn over.
