2000 gsr head repair.
whats up guys i have a ? for all the honda people out there. some dude wants to trade me a 2000 type r head here if the info. http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/pts/1864791454.html he wants to trade me that for my ek9 leather rear seats with red stitching, i paid 110 for the seats. i asked 2 of my friends and they told me not to get it which is what i believe as well. is it repairable or not? he told me a valve spring came off from too much nitrous injection which needs to get resurfaced with 1 new valve and 1 new spring. i added up the math and it would be about 600 to get all new springs and valves the cover and all that crap the head will be completely fully built and done with aftermarket parts. is it worth it and spending all that money? or no?

hard to tell without closer pictures of the combustion chamber, but im willing to bet it wasn't because of "too much nitrous" I'm willing to bet it was an over-rev and im sure there is more than one bent valve.
yes i know im sure he is lying to try and get me to trade with him. he has tried multiple items to trade for my seats. i would hope on it if the head was fine but only missing parts. from the picture alone you can see damage clearly on 1 combustion chamber he is about an hour drive and i dont think it is worth that drive to then be disappointed so in other words i dont think the head itself is repairable. i can care less about getting new springs and valves since it would be aftermarket but do you think the head is in worse condition?

All Integra Type-R's use PR3 heads, not P72 heads. All 94-2001 US Acura Integra GS-R's use P72 heads.
Therefore, P72 head is NOT a Type-R head.
Personally it's almost close enough to fit here, but the way you replied to the comments isn't going to make anyone want to help you.

I miss stuff like this in the EF/EG forums. Thanks for making me feel at home.

If you're trying to save money by fixing up broken parts without having too much knowledge/experience going into it (no offense, you seem to fit in this category judging by your post), then it's a strong possibility that you'll end up paying more than buying known good working parts. You should also be aware of the (vast) differences between OE GS-R and ITR heads.
At the very least, bring your friends to inspect the head before buying it. Or better yet, have the seller meet you at a machine shop to get better insight from an expert.
ps- ITR/Si intake manifolds won't bolt up to a GS-R P72 head.
