Icon2 *** Chipped P78 ECU for a B16A Swap?? ***

H-T,

I am picking up a 00' EK Hatch with a B16A swap and the car currently has a "chipped P78" which ive never heard of.

does any1 have info on this? as per the owner, he says the car bogs out @ 4k rpm with a P28 which is what ive been using on all my setups.

i researched the P78 and discovered its a automatic transmission control module for 94-95 integras. so im a bit confused.

plz help, thanks.

The guy who sold you the car probably read it wrong, it's probably a p73 (not chippable) which he mis read as 'p78' . . .

Yes, the p30 will be the correct 'stock' ECU for that engine in your chassis

i believe the dohc vtec del-sols came about in 94. So a obd1 p30 ecu from 94-95 will be chip able but anything after 95 is not.

Be sure you order a complete chip kit, not just the chip itself.
