Default need some feedback on plans (new)

I'm gonna be buying a civic within the next few weeks and i'm going to be modding the hell out of it (hopefully). I'm fairly new to the modding world tho so i dont know a whole hell of a lot, been basically just fixing my car to keep it running rather than trying to improve it. so i guess my question is what kind of civic should i be looking at? i know that different types have larger or smaller ranges of aftermarket parts and engine compatibilities. from what i hear the k20 and the h22 engines are the best? so it'd be nice to have something where the eventual swap to one of those engines would be easier. whatever civic i end up buying is going to be 2000 or later so suggestions of models built after then would be best. also, kinda looking at a tight budget for the initial buy so cheaper models would be helpful. lookin forward to feedback, thanks.

There's a thread stuck to the top of the board stating you should "Read Before Posting". It'll help you get an idea as to what the chassis is capable of.
