yo i just bought a 1993 civic si. and im wondering what chassie code is me car?? thanks in advance.

 

i knoe it may be a dumb question but when im trying to by exhaust its asking if its a eg3 eg6 or eg9? so can you guys please help. oh and one more thing i also own a 93 del sol si with the same d16z6 but on the sol the red line is at 8,000 and the hatch is only 7,300 i belive why is this?

 

You can find it in the VIN number, located on the dash, doorjam and firewall.

My '92 says EH2 in the VIN and my '96 says EJ6, for example.

Look at ur VIN! apparently you dont need to be caring too much if you cant figure out on the VIN, not that it makes much of a difference you're driving a Honda, the chasis and VIN dont make a diff, build a motor and suspension and be happy no one has stole it from you, DU MAAAA.

 

92-95 Si in the US is EH3. The "JDM" way to say it would be EG6.

The del sol that revs to 8k is the del sol vtec, it has a b16a3 in it... U have a d16z6 and the rev limit is set around 7200...

 

no need to take a z6 above 7200 rpms without upgraded valve springs. aint gonna get any power when ur valves are floating.

 

no the sol is a 93 non v tech model but is a si and has a d16z6. but good to know its no good to go that high anyway.

 

But just double checked and the redline in the sol is 8,000 odd???
