Default h series engine help

ok i have a 97 bb6 with the h22a4 and like others with that engine i have started burning oil after 100,000.. and want to rebuild.... but ive been told b/c of the dame carbonsteel sleeves it cant be board or hoaned and the cant be removed from the block....so is thi true or not and wtf should i do to rebuild?

Search. First step is to find out if it's your rings or valve seals that are causing your oil smoke. FRM can be bored if needed

yeah i heard they can be bored, but not that much, my 97 sh has 160,000 on it, i believe it was burning oil as well, but i did numerous compression and leakdown tests on it, and my problem was the valve seals, and my exhaust valves not seating all the way, i sent my head to a machine shop for tests, and everything came back good. the head has new valve seals, and all the valves were cleaned. it also got a valve job, pressure testing, and vacuum testing done as well. Although they told me my exhaust valves were bent, so had to replace them, but when i get it back on the car i'll post up, if everything goes back to normal.
