Icon6 94LX w/F23 swap VTEC Problem?

Hey all, I have an F23 swap into my 94lx 5spd, im currently running an f22b1 ECU w/ the old f22b2 wiring harness. I have the VTEC wires connected and all, and the car runs pretty well but I seem to be having some minor issues. It just doesnt seem to be hitting VTEC as hard as it should and accelerating like its supposed to, another odd thing is that the temp gauge needle goes crazy when VTEC hits, the needle just starts to jump like crazy. Ive checked all the wires, the dizzy and looked for anything else that might be wrong but cant seem to find anything. Appreciate the help if you can.

Where did you ground the VTEC oil pressure switch?

The F-Series engine's VTEC never kicks in hard. Its hardly notice-able. Their VTEC is different than the DOHC VTEC. There's a difference between Fuel Economy VTEC and Performance VTEC.

Anyways, is it throwing any codes though?

The thing is that I had another F23 in my car and it seemed like it was a lot quicker and had better response than this one, i could drop 3rd and be at 105 quiker than this one, but the first f23 lost a crank berring and developed a knock. It just doest feel like it is running like it should. Im throwing 1 code #41 (heated O2 sensor heater), its been like that since the first swap though. As for the ground wire, its located on the top of the valve cover closest to the VTEC oil pressure switch.

Every engine performs differently and some are slower than others.

Have you try seafoaming the engine?
