things to look out for when buying a block?
so i am in the process of buying a D15b7 block to do a mini me set up..they owner if the block is asking 100 bucks for it..i want some advice on looking out for things that show its a good buy..in other words things to look out for or test before i buy it.. i just dont want to get screwed over..i plan on making a written contract..the owner said it was running perfect so im going to include that in the contract..just to be safe..
100 for a bare block is a lil steep IMO
anyways if it is bare, check the cylinder walls for any scoring
and the crank journals for anything...
bring a straightedge and make sure the deck is straight
also any stripped out holes or damaged studs
