Default things to look out for when buying a block?

so i am in the process of buying a D15b7 block to do a mini me set up..they owner if the block is asking 100 bucks for it..i want some advice on looking out for things that show its a good buy..in other words things to look out for or test before i buy it.. i just dont want to get screwed over..i plan on making a written contract..the owner said it was running perfect so im going to include that in the contract..just to be safe..

is it a bare block or are the guts still intact? Well you dont want any scratches and scarring. Also check for broken studs.

100 for a bare block is a lil steep IMO

anyways if it is bare, check the cylinder walls for any scoring

and the crank journals for anything...

bring a straightedge and make sure the deck is straight

also any stripped out holes or damaged studs

its a not a bare block..it has everything..

should i crank it and see if it cranks easily??

lmao, check for any binding of course

still check out the cylinder walls and deck level with a straightedge

yeah ima take my buddy hes a UTI graduate so he can tell me wats up with the block..
