I have a 93 civic ex, ls swap, b16 trans. Well i changed the tranny fluid and bleed the clutch line. Thats all i tried so far. I went and got my car tuned and went to drive it home, it was engaging right at the floor instead of the middle. I havent even checked if the master/slave cylinder is junk or not. that would be my only next guess. might have a hole in the line... Any other ideas? lol
If you bleed it and still have the same issue then check your lines, you might also have to adjust your pedal. I put a new clutch in a few months ago and after I did the clutch was engaging right at the floor and if I let it come all the way up it would make a knocking sound. So I adjusted the pedal and its been perfectly fine ever since.

Hmm, never though about that either....my other car torn in pieces kinda does the same thing with a new clutch...Would i adjust it in the car or in the engine bay?

Well i bleed the clutch all the way and seems to be fine. Now i cant get the car into gear AT ALL!!! The only way to do it is rev match at 4k. im going to change the mounts and bushing, then see where that takes me. Mounts are kinda junk so i hope thats my problem. Ever since i got it tuned, its been a bitch to drive.

I dont think the tranny is blown. I cant get it into 1st. its like pushing it through a brick wall...its not grinding. only grinds in reverse... The cluch engages good, even take off in 2nd with no slipping.
that makes no sense. so it doesnt go in 1st but it will go in 2nd with no issues?

Yeah its really weird. Will go into 2nd and all other gears just fine. very rare to slide into first. I mean you REALLY have to push it HARD to think about going into first. Way more force than what is necessary. No grinds at all... Do you think it could be the linkages? I remember a friend of mine having a similar problem and the linkages were wrong. Just a suggestion.

Well here is what is happening right at this moment.
1st gear, rev to 5 k sitting at stop sign.
Down shifting the car,
5-4 gear rev match to 3.5k
4-3 rev match to 4k
3-2 rev match to 4.5k.
its a really weird pattern. no grinds in any gear. reverse is really weird. it grinds but just barley, then thunks in gear REALLY hard...Now when i go to up shift or accelerate. its kinda like driving a semi truck. still no grinds though, you must let the tac wind down 500 rpm before it slides into any gear. still no grinds, you just have to push it WAY to hard to get it to slide into any gear.

i just finished the swap on my 95 civic and the tranny has been acting really goofy too. i thought it was the master and then the slave. both have been replaced with brand new oem parts. clutch line has been bled several times and im positive there is no air in the lines. im about to drop the trans and take a look inside. i had the motor in another car a month ago and it was fine????? FML.
