have a 02 civic ex..my check engine light just came on the other day but for a few weeks before i noticed that my car is losing power...if i drive normal it seems to be alright but when i get on it and get into the higher rpms it feels like it wants to stall out....it also does it alot when the car has been sitting while im at work all day..the car doesnt over heat it seems to stay cool but like i said just seems to lose power whenever it gets in high rpms

 

We need to know what codes are being thrown.

Unless you have your own scanner, take it to Autozone or any other auto parts store that does free scanning. That will help us provide answers to your problem(s).

 

Could be your spark plugs and or plug wires.....any lights show up on the dash??

 

We don't have plug wires... and he stated in his post that his check engine light came on.

 

If it's losing power then thorw a turbo kit on there and a 150 shot of NOS and your good to go. Your welcome for the help I'm this trying to help people in need.
