2005 Honda Civic Overheats
Alright, now I know a lot of you are going to jump all over me to READ THE OTHER THREADS and just so you know, I have. I've been lurking and have done all the checks to make sure there's no cracks in the block or leaking or milkshakes or anything else.
Moving on, my wife and I recently bought an 05 Civic DX with 63,000 miles on it. The car has performed just fine until last week when while sitting in traffic the engine approached the "H" mark on the thermometer. I shut the A/C off which helped and once we got going again the car cooled off.
When I got home I started doing homework and from what I'm gathering this generation had a lot of gasket issues. I did all the checks mentioned here and other forms and everything is behaving as it should.
This evening, I took the car out again to get it up to normal running temp and the car behaved just fine. However, I noticed that the fan for the A/C unit comes on as it should, but the other fan on the radiator didn't come on. I'm not a pro with Honda's but I would think that fan would come on.
The only other thing I can come back to is that the thermostat is sticking closed, but I doubt it. Was wondering if it sounds like my fan or something else I'm missing?
Also, I live in SE Phoenix metro area and the temp that day was around 110. So I'm sure that didn't help much.

Thanks for the info. I'll do my best to try it out tomorrow morning.
In answer to your 2nd question, no there is no coolant loss, and it's a healthy bright green.
