I've been driving my car fine for the last few months. Just recently tonight on the way home i popped vtec at around 6500rpm in 3rd gear my Check engine light came on so i stuck to normal driving around 3k rpm all the way home. When i got home i checked the CEL and it was Code 1. Thats the primary o2 sensor.

My question before i look more into it tomorrow is Is my o2 sensor bad or could it be something else?

Edit: I drive 96 Civic with 97 Gsr Motor Obd2a

 

prob the heater sender in the o2 sensor and its bad. you can pull ur battery terminals 2 reset the ecu. if it comes back its definitely bad.
