Default Shifter not returning to neutral?

Does anyone know how to fix this? Whenever I shift out of gear, the shifter will stick to the left or right instead of returning to neutral (right in between 3rd & 4th) gear.

It's annoying because I have to be careful when upshift out of 2nd and into 3rd gear. I accidentally shifted into 5th because the stick never return to neutral.

i had the same problem with my shifter box and cables in my k-swap integra. it seems to me that the left (sitting in driver's seat looking at the shifter box) cable sticks in it's sleeve. i removed the cables from the box and the box was fine, so i concluded it was the cable, so i just replaced everything.

yea the only other reason for it to not move left/right like that would be that the left/right cable was disconnected.. and you can obviously still put the tranny in gears so it must be sticking.
