Default 4ws and I dont know what to do :(

Okay first my 4ws goes in and out. I dont know much about it. Guy i bought it from said when its really hot out it does not work. Seems true because early mornings it works then afternoon its not on. Does anyone know about this?

Also ive been doing my EGR valve and the two nuts. I got one off no problem then i tried doing one at night and stripped it. And now I made it worse. Ive used a half inch extension on it so dont say to switch to that. I need to know some trick or some way to get that stripped nut off if there is one. EGR valve is the reason my check engine lights on.. ugh..

Thanks for reading.

There is a write-up in the FAQ explaining how to pull the 4WS codes
and a code list. It is a simple process. Also do a search for 4WS fix,
there is a re-solder technique for the 4WS unit which will solve some
problems.

Have you tried a 6 point 1/4 inch socket? Or is it completely rounded off?

Your 4ws works? lucky you i wish mine did. I printed the entire manual for the 4ws system and skimmed through it for curiosity. There are quite a few sensors for the 4ws system at each wheel, i think if any one of those sensors are not working it will throw off the 4ws system. I would definitely check the 4ws code that should verify if its a sensor or not. It could also be the rear actuator that has a gear mechanism inside, which is how it pushes and pulls the rear wheels...thats why i haven't fixed mine i cant find one.

If you want the manual let me know, i can send you those pages its quite large tho id have to do it over aim or something.

FAQ. I'll give you a hint: International 5G Preludes also came with 4WS.

Yea i was daytona, although i just recently moved to Charlotte, NC.

Im always driving back and forth to visit daytona though, miss livin there.

I used to go to the steak and shake meet, international and nova. and i was in the club Street Stylez which meets at the car academy off of ridgewood, or us1. near granada, us40. They are very friendly, welcome anyone. They are active too, go to shows and events which i liked i had a lot of fun there. Brian has a pretty sick mercedez silver 5th gen, body kit and a bunch of work.

There is another near embry riddle university but i dont like the people over there they are not very friendly, and another in palm coast but only been to that one once.

Oh about your EGR vavle, since your in florida you dont have to worry bout emissions, so you should block it off.
