Default d16y8 head with boost cam.

i have been wanting to do a head swap on my car and i finally have the time and the parts.. well i found a really good deal on a fully built y8 head and i couldn't pass it up. The valves/springs/retainers/cam are all crower. The cam is a stage two boost cam but i'm putting it on a stock y7 block.. so my questions are

1. will this hurt anything?
2. will i see any loss or gain with the cam since its for boost?
3. are there any particular things i do to my motor since it will have this cam in it?

any help would be appreciated, i just wanna know everthing before i install it.. thanks

find the specs on the cam and compare them to Crower's "non-boost" stg 2 cam.

i don't see how it could hurt anything as long as the standard procedures are followed for installing a more aggressive after market camshaft. most, if not all cam manufactures and retailers will recommend you degree the cam. it's also good to clay the motor to check valve-to-piston and valve-to-valve clearances.

i would exspect to see some gains over the stock cam. (just speculation, but you may loose some low end torque.) you'll definitely want to have it tuned to get your moneys worth.

if it were me, i would try to sell or trade the cam for a more appropriate one.
