Icon2 Chipped p06 ECU quit working?

Im wondering why my chipped ecu quit working? I opened it up to see if there was any burnt spot but it looks fine to me. It quit working after a 10 minute drive back home from work. Only reason I could think of was that there was a stupid wire sticking out from a wire connector by the ecu that I connected the night before. It must of caught something and stuck back out but the wire was ticking as I was driving. FYI CEL 4 popped up as well but after trying to start it after an hour it just wont start anymore. ANy idea?

Shitty picture but I mean if it was burnt wouldnt it be visible? j12 is the only thing missing.

Could be quite a few things, actually. Is the fuel pump priming? Does the CEL come on immediately and just stay on?

Sounds like he's in limp mode. Sounds like yours has a power management problem. Could be the voltage regulator, cap, or a long series of other things!

So there is really no way to figure out what part of the ecu is messed up?

Of course there is. Tracing over every component in order until you find the culprit.

Alright update. So I got sick of it and threw in my old Crome chip back in it to see if it would start my brothers car. Boom it starts up and idles like ****. Jumped the ecu and it had CEL 4 like it did in my car before it wouldnt start anymore. So now the question is which part of the ecu controls CEL 4?

It says that b13 and b14 control the TDC sensor according to this website

If the ECU still runs look into your wiring first, or possibly your distributor.

It only runs on Crome. Not on Neptune. I tried it in two different cars. Idles like crap and it throws CEL 4 in both vehicles.

you may want to take the ECU to some one that can check it.

Chris is good!

JR may help you with it too (HRtuning). He can test it, but you would have to ask him.

My Gsr has an obd2a-obd1 jumper harness for the p06. My brothers car was wired for obd1 so no jumper harness needed and i also plugged it into my buddys eg. All with the same results. Shitty *** idle and Cel 4.

Another thing to look at would be the main cap at C14. They fail a lot, I always replace it when chipping an ecu.
