Default ecu trouble (p30)

I bought an h22a swapped prelude. It ran fine and now a knock sensor code. I know I need to chip it but would it be cheaper (and easier) in the long run to swap it out for a p28 or p72 for better tuning. No matter how much research I do I have trouble understanding this kind of stuff, so any input will very helpfull.

The p30 is chipable and will work fine just like the p28 and p72.

You can have your p30 ecu chipped & delete the knock sensor or you can buy a pre-chipped obd1 vtec p28 spec ecu with the knock sensor code disabled.
