turbo issues Would like some opinions
I have a turbo b16 with built bottom end. And it smokes blue a little bit. But the motor was built by bischoff racing engines and only has 12k miles on it. And just got brand new garrett 60 trim turbo on it. Was wondering if the wrong size oil feed/return could cause it to smoke like that?
If your using anything over a -3 you should run a restricter. you might have blown the seals. check pipe and see if theres oil in it.
I agree with Esotericimage... Runn a restrictor in your oil feed and use as large of a drain as you can taking care to make sure that there are no kinks or low spots in the drain hose... if possible using a 45 degree bung on the pan pointing up with a more direct route to your tubo will be better... Any oil back pressure from teh drain could cause the seals to blow just as too much oil pressure to the turbo can...
