Default ECU help b16a

So i bought a b16a from work and it came w/ ecu and all but i'm having a hard time figuring out if this will run the car good or not. Its obd1 for sure but its a 37820-p72-A01. Is that the american GSR obd1? Should i run a different ecu for the car?

From what i know p30 is b16 code. So im guessing the ecu should say p30 not p72. p72 is a GSR code.

Its a USDM GS-R ECU. you can chip it to run a B16A or you can run a P30.

You're going to have to chip the ECU regardless whether its a P28 or a P72, you might as well keep the P72. Once its chipped and tuned it really doesn't matter what it originally came from.

Nope not chipped. You would have a extra square chip at the top right of the first pic. Im pretty sure you can guess where it goes from looking at some outlines there on the ecu. Just chip that p72. Cuz its not gonna run the b16 right due to the different VTEC engagement points, difference in liters and gsr has the secondary butterflies also. Just chip it for a b16 and you should be good to go.
