AC question
hey wats up guys i have a question i dont know if ill make sense but okay
lately it has been hot as f**ck here in So Cal and i cant take it anymore lol okay i have a 95 honda civic si and whenever i turn on the ac it throws hot air okay so i was wondering doesnt the ac fan has to turn on? i dont think it has freon so the question is does the ac fan has to turn on either way or does it have to have freon to turn on? cus i dont wanna just buy a bottle of freon if its not working i was thinking it could be the ac compressor thats probly bad so idk let me know guys please thanks alot in advance

Even if the system is low on refrigerant, the condenser fan should run when you push the A/C button. Check for blown fuses and bad relay. A bad heater control panel is something else to consider.
Don't add any refrigerant to the system until you connect a manifold gauge set to measure the pressures on the low and high sides.

is there any way to find out if the relays are ok cus i checked the fuses and their good ?
its just the the condenser fan dont turn on and its good cus i wired it up and it works

no i got some wire and wired the red cable from the condenser fan to the positive battery
and i grounded the black wire from the condenser fan and it does turn on . so i know its not the fan motor that is out cus it works so i dont know why the condenser fan doesnt turn on when i press the a/c button everything seems to be good.. i was reading an article and it said if your low on refrigerant that (most systems have a low-pressure safety cutout that will disable the compressor if there isn't enough refrigerant in the system). so i might go buy me a bottle of refrigerant and recharge my ac see if it works

Low refrigerant would not prevent the fan from running but would prevent the clutch from engaging.
Use a multimeter to test fuses #13 and #35 and both (fan & clutch) relays. If those are fine, test the A/C thermostat in the evaporator and the heater control panel. These are items that would keep the fan and clutch from working.
