Default How to improve a/c

Got a quick question for you guys. I'm in hot sticky florida and during the day when the sun is out all the way I run my ac it feel like its hardly working. But when it's raining or at night the ac blows freezing cold. What can I do to improve th efficency of my ac unit? Thanks in advance guys.

Cleaning your condenser? You also might want to make sure your fan is working properly.

get more air to the condensor which means : cleaning all the debri from around it, or a bigger fan.

- Make sure the A/C system has been properly serviced

- Reduce underhood temperatures (coat exhaust manifold, etc.)

- Have a good, heat-rejecting film applied to windows

you can try recharging it with R134. not the best solution but quick and cheap and sometime is all you need.

Thanks for all the advice guys. The system has already ben retrofitted to r134 so I'll clean it down real good tommorrow and let you all know how it turns out.

i have the same problem. haven't quite found a solution. post back and let us know how it goes.

change the drier and expansion valve out along with cleaning the condensor.....
