Default any issues if i block off egr valve?

i know this is a prelude forum, but i figured you guys would know this engine better than anyone.
im putting an obd1 jdm h22a into my 95 ex coupe. ill be running the stock p13 ecu.
instead of wiring in the egr if i just block it off will their be any drive ability issues with the car?
for example could it lose power or get sluggish on me?
i know ill get a code but that doesnt bother me as much as having more wiring to do ..lol just looking to see what problems if any i could have.
thanks
adam

With a P13 ecu, youll get a code 12 and that nasty check engine light will be on all the time. To keep the light off, you could install a plate under the egr valve and wire the egr system correctly. Or, if you want to delete the vave entirely, run a P28 ecu with an H22 tune. The engine doesnt seem to run the same when the check engine light is on.

^ I don't believe the EGR CEL puts the car in limp mode or screws with the timing at all.

Worse gas mileage is a possibility.

dont know if it screws with the timing, but it does run like **** with a code 12. best to just hook it up correctly or run an ecu that can be tuned not to run with it. like hondata on a p72 would be good.

thanks guys. ill probably run it correctly. i have a spare p28 but i want a knock sensor since it will be a daily driver. a p72 is a waste of money for me seeing as i will have a p13 to just plug and play.
thanks again

The P28 needs an H22 basemap.

EGR is for emissions... without it you will fail an emissions test but thats it. doesnt mess with timing or anything. just block it off with the plate like 92civlude stated and you shouldn't get an error code.

Honda makes a cool EGR delete plate. p/n 18711-PM1-J00. Its inexpensive as well.

Go Rosko EGR Plate Delete! Way cleaner.

You'll get a CEL but nothing major.

Password JDM came out with some for $15.99

They look pretty nice, Anodized it seems too. Lots of colour choices... I mean the EGR is something everyone is going to see
