Say when you leave your car but dont shut off the AC, does that affect anything or can mess something up?

I don't see why it would be bad. You can hear the AC spooling down when you turn off the car.

My car has 227K on the original AC compressor, and I leave it on quite a bit.

I'd say it doesn't make a difference.

Haha... Well I have the remote starter on my car so when its blazing hot outside I want the car to be nice and cool by the time I actually get in the car...So sometimes I wont wont shut off the AC when I leave the car but just wasnt sure if it effects the compressor, clutch or something...

idk what you're tying to ask but it doesn't mess anything up, besides using a bit more of gas

Back in the day before electronics were common in cars, if you left the a/c on and tried to start the car, the starter would have to turn the ac compressor when turning over the motor. That's where the "don't leave your a/c on when you turn off your car" thing came from. Nowadays there's a delay between when you start your car and the a/c kicks on, so it doesn't matter anymore.

The dude in "Employee of the Month" would've had to worry about this problem, not us.
