I have a 99 honda accord LX.. today i get in my car and the damn thing wouldn't start. I tried turning the key in the ignition but it just clicked.. It didn't try to turn over at all.. I have power and everything else seems fine.. is it possibly the starter?

 

Whens the last time you had/done a 30,000 mile tune up?? If the starter is stock than it could most likely be that. They go out eventually. Could be somethin simple like spark plugs or wires, cap or rotor. It just depends on how old everything in your ride is!!

 

Okay when i turn the ignition it just clicks.. does the car give a warning before the starter goes out or is it one of those things that just goes out?

 

No, no check engine lights or anything. If its clicking loud and clearly its not your starter with the problem.. LAST TUNE UP???

 

I had a tune up last year... but the guy who did it was total bullsh**... and yes it was clicking loud..

 

Ok, sorry. If the motor isn't spining over when you turn they key what does a tune up have to do with anything. Starters go bad, batteries go bad.Check the voltage on the battery, check that the sol. is getting voltage when the key is turned. Pull the starter, take it to the parts store and have it tested.
