BEST EXHAUST FOR D-SERIES!(opinions)
I know that there is no such thing as "best" because other people like other types of exhaust....
So... if you got a d-series what kind of exhaust do you have? nd does it sound ricer???????

Yea by all means if you are turbo and running significant boost get a three inch. If you have an all motor D a three inch will make you lose power. You want to find a median size where it's not to big that the gasses cool and slow, but not to small that it's restrictive. That link has alot of good info. In a N/A build your exhaust is crucial put some time and brain power into it.
I have 2.5" with no cat and its definitely a lot more meaner sounding. Haven't actually got to play with it to much recently though like over a year.

I have a 2.25 inch GReddy Evo2 Cat - Back exhaust. It comes with a circular muffler, not an oval, so people call it a fart cannon but I love the sound. Quiet when it needs to be and a nice sound when pulling into RPMs.
I had a dc 4-2-1, test pipe, apex n1...sounded cool when I got on it (first vid) but seriously sounded like crap when cruising

2.25 inch piping is the best, and dont waste your money on all those high dollar catbacks, if you dont have to pass emissions, then eliminate the cat. do a custom exhaust system with the piping size stated earlier, and pick good muffler, at least thats what i do(im a welder)!the only reason that the brand name systems sell is not every one can build their own! i have got better power by making mine and they still look amazing, and sound great
