'99-'00 SI, getting the last bits of tint off the rear window??
So I recently got a 2000 Civic SI and I love it! but it had that horrid purple tint on the windows, which had zero visibility due to scratches, bubbles, and other things.
My husband and I managed to get the tint off all the windows, but there's just a little bit left on my rear window, right where the brake light is, and I can't reach anything in there to get it out.
Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

there is a knife like an exacto knife where the blade mounts perpendicular to the handle, instead of on the angle like the exacto, and it has a handle like the length of a pen. maybe a hobby shop has them. good luck

Remove 3rd brake light> remove tint> reassemble.
Also, did you do the heat and peel method to remove the tint? or did you just give'r hell and pulled it off? I don't now if its the glare of the glass/camera, but it looks like you damaged the defrost lines on the glass. I know when I removed the tint off my rear glass, I damaged 3 lines cause I didn't get the glass hot enough.

Yes, we used my garment steamer.
Actually, I gave up on trying to save my defroster when I peeled off one half of the tint, and the entire side strip came off with it, so my entire defrost was destroyed anyway.
I got a super deal on this car, and living in Florida means that I almost NEVER use the defrost.
I used a razor blade with a long, flat handle, and it wouldn't fit in there.
My husband works on Hondas, and he thinks I can pop off the 'cover' to the light, and that should give me the room to reach in there and get that stuff out, but I haven't been able to find any information on that.

If I'm not mistaken, the brake light cover is screwed down by 4 screws but they are under neither. You will have to look under the rear deck. Look for where the bulb socket it and the screws should be around it.
Remove 3rd brake light> remove tint> reassemble.

Spray ammonia on window with even coat, lay a large plastic sheet like a trash bag over the sprayed area..
let sit in sun for and hour or 2, then it should come off really easy. And small bits left can be scraped with fine steel wool wiping even with defrost lines.
Make sure you get all the glue off with the steel wool. clean it all off and windex the crap out if and you should be good to go w/o damaging the lines.
OP: if it were me I would take the back cover off.. Just need a body panel tool ($7.00) and 5-10 mins of your time.. While your at it and its off, it would be a good time to replace the 6x9 speakers and enjoy some better sound back there. Just a suggestion.
