Valve sleeve!
My car has been running like **** ever since my turn pike incident! Where my car started to overheat and would just bog down when getting on the gas. Kicking out misfire codes. After the turn pike incident I noticed a loud tapping sound coming from the head. So I pulled the head and sent it out for the mod. I sent the head out to Gude performance to be ported and polished, you know the head package. I told the guy to check out the head because it was tapping loudly. Well after installing the head a month ago I began to check my plugs to see how the motor was doing. The no 4 cylinder plug had oil all over it. I checked the compression on all four cylinders and they were all at about 185. So what I'm asking is this is a valve guidr slipping right? How would this affect the performance of my car? She also was still kicking out the misfire codes!

its called a valve guide, but i would think it would be the valve stem seals before its the guide. i dont think that would leak oil. gude are morons though too i am willing to bet money they didnt check it out. 185 compression isnt too bad. mines 197 at the lowest. you did replace the valve stem seals right?
No, I didn't replace the valve stem seals. I just shipped it out to Gude performance. I'm going to pull the head off and have it inspected. So, I guess I should have hime replace the valve stem seals.
yes. gude should have done that but bill is a moron to. i called him a few times to see what i should use as a valve lash with his cams i kept getting different answers from him.
