EK ALTERNATOR REPALCEMENT HELP.
OK SO I HAVE MY CAR SITTING FOR 2 DAYS I CAN'T FIND A WAY TO TAKE MY ALTERNATOR OUT. I ALREADY TRIED TAKING IT OUT OF THE FRONT L SIDE OF THE WHEEL BUT IT WONT COME OUT. I ALSO TRIED UNDER THE CAR BY THE END OF THE HEADERS AND NOPE! AND LAST I TRIED THROUGH THE TOP ALSO BY TAKING OFF SOME HOSES BUT IT DOSENT WORK! SHOULD I RAISE THE MOTOR BY TAKING OFF THE MOUNTS? I DONT WANT TO MESS UP MY CAR. DOES SOMEONE KNOW HOW?
Yeah this is a huge pain on our cars, you don't need to raise the motor, however. If you remove the bracket that the alternator is mounted on, you can get it out from under the car. It still isn't easy but if you jiggle it around enough down there it'll come out one way or another, it's a tight squeeze... Good luck!

i'v always taken mine out from the top. jsut a matter of unbolting the brake master cylinder from the brake booster via the 2 12mm bolts. push the master to the side and pull the alternator from the top as long as you've already removed the 14mm? bolt from the bottom of the alternator and the 14mm adjusting bolt from the top. also the plug and 10mm bolt for the charging wire.
From the bottom. Jack the car up, take off the wheel so you can get under there. Pull the axle all the way down, the alternator will just fit through. This is how I did it.

OP, make sure you remove the bracket if you're getting it out from the bottom! It comes off easily, and it'll be impossible if you do. I feel your pain, honda made it a real b!tch to remove.
Also, beware if you get a new one from autozone, mine was a little too big to fit in the bracket, so I had to file it down, which was a huge pain since I didn't have the right tools. the simplest jobs can become so much harder than they need to be...

no you do no have to bleed the brakes since you aren't disconnecting the brake lines from the master only the master from the booster. they move enough to be able to get the alternator out. takes me 20 minutes to do an alternator.
THanks everyone i got it done i got frustrated that i called up my bro and we lift up the motor with a jack and some wood and squeezed it through with no problem...that was a fukn pain in the ***
