Icon2 Im confused about wiring my o2 sensor....

ok, my car is 93 del sol. it has one o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold. the code 41 always on since I have bought the car. I have recently checked the voltage between the org/blk wire (-) and yellow/blk wire (+) of my o2 sensor, it has 0 voltage. so i check the yellow/blk wire (+) with body ground and it gives me a voltage of 12v. then I have checked the battery voltage between A6 (+) and A23 (-) of the ECU (these are the pins for the o2 sensor) and the battery voltage was 12v. so I can say, the problem is the connection between the ECU and harness of the o2 sensor. so my question is, what should i do? can I connect external wire to A23 wire and cut the org/blk wire (-) from the o2 harness and connect it to the external wire (the one I attach to A23 wire)? is this a good way to solve the connection problem? OR can i just cut the org/blk wire (-) from the o2 harness and connect it to a body ground (a bolt on the body of the car)??? what should I do to fix this problem and make 41 code disappear? any help will be appreciated...thanks!

have you checked all wires if they have continuity from sensor to ecu pin outs? and no don't ground your sensor to chassis because the electrical circuit is set to respond with the ecu one is ground one is the signal wire and the other 2 are heater power wires (o2 sensors have built in heaters) for the o2 sensor ..

i can email you the FSM procedure for checking if your o2 sensor is bad or not.

on a side note, have you reset your ecu since you've owned the car? if so, how long before the code comes on again?

no i havn't checked the continuity from sensor to ecu pin outs. i have tried to do so but its too hard to locate the wires, all are covered with black rubbers/plastic to hold them together. that's why im planning to just connect external wire to A23 wire and cut the org/blk wire (-) from the o2 harness and connect it to the external wire (the one I attach to A23 wire)? but, is this a good way to solve the connection problem?

thanks ChokolAwt. i have the procedures for that, i know the problem is with the connection between ecu A23 pin and org/blk wire which connects to o2 harness (its the ground). so how can i solve this connection problem?? about resting the ecu, i did it many times with no use (no power can reach the o2 sensor since there is a problem with the connection). any body can help??

why don't you just run a wire from that pin location to the sensor and see if it helps
