JDM B16A distributor
I have a OBD-0 JDM B16A in a '91 hf crx that I recently pulled and rebuilt. when I put it back together there was a screw left in the distributor that lodged itself in the gear that the crank angle sensor reads and sheared off 4 teeth. Now it is misfiring real bad and I have checked the timing like six times and everything lines up where its supposed to so I kno that this has to be my problem. My question is what are the distributor options for this motor? Do I have to use a JDM distributor or will any OBD-0 b-series distributor work?
you can use the shaft w/matching gear from any 90-91 integra or 88-91 mpfi civic/crx. they are the same as long as they have the same number of teeth on the gear. you can use a 90-91 integra distributor but you will need to cut off one of the legs to make it clear the vtec solenoid. if you want an oem obd0 b16 distributor pm me i have one lying around that i no longer use.
