Re: OBD 0 distributor bearings (The Converted)
You "can" replace it, but it's a PITA to do so. If you do replace them, use the guts from either a CRX or 90-91 Integra distributor, as it's the same thing and uses OBD-0 parts. If it's NOT a 1st gen B16A distributor, then just use that bad one as a core and get one from Kragen/Pepboys/Autozone/where ever and get a rebuilt one in new condition. If you do have a 1st gen B16A distributor, then you can't get another refurb'd one as they never made the OBD-0 DOHC VTEC distributor in the US.

Re: OBD 0 distributor bearings (The Converted)
I've done this 10 times or so on my 90 Teg w/ b16. i was told it couldn't be done but i was curious to see why. I've found that the easiest way (assuming we're talking b16 VTEC distr.) is to find an Ls obd-0 integra (90-91) and swap EVERYTHING as a whole in to the vtec housing. everything is the exact same. and they're cheap at junk yards. some of the sensors may look a little different (sometimes), but thats due to diff. manufactrers. you will need a t-15 (i think it was t-15 just buy the bit set) TORX piece, as the factory didnt want us taking them apart. good luck pm me if u have any questions. and yes, automatic distr. will give the same results..... hans->
edit: the torx need to be the SECURITY type bits.....
