Default Issues installing HardRace rear-trailing arm bushings?

Hey guys, I have a 99 GSR and have been slowly upgrading the suspension components. It came time to replace the rear trailing arm bushings so I went ahead and picked up the HardRace hard-rubber trailing arm bushings that come with the sleeve and the perch already attached. I figured this would be a win-win with the combo of hard-rubber and not eurethane, and the lack of hassle of having to cut up the oem bushing in order to get the sleeve and the perch for the inserts.

Me and my friend used the specific rear-trailing arm bushing press tool to remove the oem assembly and it pressed out fine.
Then we lubed up the HardRace assembly and went to press it in. No matter what we tried the sleeve would not seat properly on the rear trailing arm. It kept pushing to the side and bent VERY easily. Once the sleeve got out of form it was impossible to work with.

Has anyone else experienced problems with the HardRace hard rubber rear trailing arm bushing? Is there another company that makes something comparable? What are my options at this point?

had no issues pressing my RTA bushings in (hardrace as well, complete kit). we used a press and a giant socket...worked on the first try, we didn't use lube though.

Pressing in a bushing is an art form. Get a new bushing and try again.

I see where you're coming from with that, however after the miserable failure of the hardrace product the stock bushing pressed in like butter.
