Bad Bushing, bad!
Ok so I'm finally getting around to my suspension and rear Si disc swap. I am replacing the rear trailing arm bushing with a OEM bushing due to the reports of "binding" or 'lack of movement allowed' to the arm. -- I do have the hyperflex bushing kit for my Civic. My question is: are there any other bushings that anyone would hesitate to replace with Polyurethane?
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

Re: Bad Bushing, bad! (litterbox)
People say that replacing the rear trailing arm bushing (With a polyurethane bushing) does not allow for proper movement of the arm! -- With me so far? --
"are there any other bushings anyone would NOT recommend replacing with polyurethane?" i.e. Strut mount bushing, LCA bushings, upper ball joint bushing... Etc.
Thanks again

the arm still moves properly, but over time i've heard the bushing can slide to one side and be off-center where the stock bushing has more play and stays put. That's not anything i've observed, just heard. Pretty much every suspension bushing on my car is polyurethane. You'll get more road noise, but worth it IMO.

Mostly true. Many of the guys in the RR/Auto X forum will say to use either a stock bushing ot the Mugen one on the rear trailing arm. The poly bushing is actually too stiff and does not provide for proper movement which can lead to binding.
That RTA bushing is the only one that I have heard people have a problem with. However unless you are building a RR car the ES kit would be sufficent for street use with no issues as long as you are not someone that tries to play speed racer through the town.

But for everything else, go with polyurethane. That's what I meant above.
