What kind of gas do you guys use on 7th gens
I've tried regular unleaded to plus, or v-power from shell, and sometimes the higher level gas at BP. and the thing is I do see a difference between them, the difference I see with my car is, is that my 7th gen seems to burn the unleaded gas ALOT faster then the higher octane gas, and by alot i mean alot. So Idk if it's worth the extra 10 - 20 cents to get the good gas or just stick to regular shell unleaded.
And I just tried Lucas for the first time, and it seems to add in a couple miles to the gallon. little difference.
Any opinions on that, and do higher octane gases really clean out your car as good as they say it does?

Your engine is tuned on non-premium 87 octane. To deviate from that octane can cause internal damage to the engine.

there are a few theories and reasons as to why higher octane fuel "may" give you fuel economy.
here's one:
depending on your location, your local gas stations may mix in 10% ethanol into the fuel. higher octane fuels often won't contain any ethanol. anyways, ethanol has lower energy content than gasoline so in theory your fuel economy would drop when using fuel that has ethanol mixed in.

No, fuel additives do.
And I use 87 octane.

Unless your car has some crazy F/I or NA build. You should only use 87, no point in adding an extra 10-15 cents per gallon for same results.
Use fuel additive if you wanna clean your motor.

bro honestly i do it every oil change, and it helps
O okay. Yeah I do the same thing. I put one every 4,000 miles and it's only about 7$. I was just wondering if it was necessary. Thanks man.
