Default Spoolin Headers(Toda rep)

I've read alot that these perform well on 1.6L motors and I was just wondering how these performed on 1.8L motors? Or are there better options? I know it's a replica so don't give me that "save your money for a real header" bs. I'm on a highschool budget and I just need a new one for the rebuild I'm dumping my cash into. Any help would be appreciated.

*Searched a ton and haven't found any info on them for 1.8L. If there's another thread like this, someone please navigate me to it and mods feel free to delete*

They are more or less a replica of the Toda header and have worked very well on 1.6L's as well as 1.8L's. If you want some idea how it would perform, try googling toda header on 1.8L or something like that.

the only thing with the spoolin header is the primarys are paired differently and the bends are different, wether thats make a huge difference is unknown, I'd like to try one back to back with a toda on a 1.6. I'd deff get something different for a 1.8 like a camp 1320 or pro fab, dtr or old anr if you can find one

I'll look into those. How's the ground clearance? That's mainly what I'm looking for next to some decent power.

Had one on my JDM GSR about a year ago. Great ground clearance for any B series motor. Definite gains over the JDM ITR 4-1 I had on before it.

I liked it so much I picked up another one for my B20, but plans have changed.

So I've got a minty one for sale:

^What kind of gains did it make over your itr? Track times/dyno? Interested to see how well they perform on 1.8L cause I have a hytech replica and the clearance is ****. Otherwise I'll be looking into the camp1320 or profab headers. Can't really find much on the camp1320 though..

Sorry, strictly a daily driver; no track times or dyno numbers.

But switching to the SPFab, I had to add fuel everywhere in Neptune.

When the car leans out it's a pretty good indication of more power, but all speculation of course.

The JDM ITR has pretty good clearance, as it is an OEM piece; the SPFab is as good if not better.

SpoolinPerformance had a dyno comparison between the Profab and the SPFab. SPFab made more power everywhere without additional tuning.

Yeah, I've seen that dyno chart while searching but like I said I wanted to see how it performed on a 1.8L. But, I'm sorta just leaning toward the spfab headers cause I found a like new one for 350 shipped. The profab is looking sorta good though but I'm still looking to find one.

idk if you have decided on a header yet but i recieved my toda replica header from spoolin performance. quality is decent but i have to send it back and get it exchanged for a new as one of the welds was not completed and there is a hole from it not being fully welded around on of the merge collectors :/

^^ Don't sweat it, that's life. When you have things hand made, on occasion that happens. It's not like you're ordering a cheeseburger. So this should have no bearing on the quality of their work. You just need an adjustment is all.

Alright so I've been looking into the RMF rep header and got priced out for 350 and a used SPfab header for 365. Which one do you guys think is the better option?

Need suggestions asap. Lemme know!
