need help OBD1 D16z6 into 96dx
my hommie just picked up a 96 DX coupe with an OBD1 d16z6 swap in it for $700. when he brought the car home he said the car had no power and couldnt go WOT cuz it would cause the car to bogg. so the car started and it had a really rough idle and bogging. u had to lightly press the gas for it to rev and WOT would just cause it to bogg out at die. i checked for fuel from the pump to the fuel rail and ended up getting new injectors cuz they were clogged but now im still stuck with the same problem? the car has new spark plugs and wires and a new map sensor and is running a P28 with obd2 to obd1 jumper harness and car is fed 91 octane. i also cleaned out the iac and check the voltage to the TPS sensor and its all good.. also the fuel rail had a connector clip thats not hooked up wondering if it needs to?
any help?

any help?

CEL codes?
How do the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor look?
Have you checked the ignition timing with a timing gun?
You also may want to replace the fuel filter or at least measure the fuel pressure.

What distributor did you use? Have you checked ignition timing? That plug looks like it might be the intake air temp sensor, how do you have the IAT hooked up now if at all? The z6's is a different shape all together.
that plug goes to your evap solenoid its not needed to run a z6 with a p28. looks like the ran a z6 dizzy and its retarded all the way. how did they wire it in? you could have used a y8 dizzy only the top bolt lines up sometimes it needs to be dremmeled out alil to fit but it works. if not you can buy a conversion harness at rywire for this. i have a good feeling this is the problem your having. its all in the dizzy
if the dizzy isnt soldered then consider it a short circuit to the wires happend to my b20 just twisted and taped made the car run sluggish and bog at WOT... try that maybe itll work.
