Icon2 Replacing Hard Brake line - HELP?!?

Hey guys. I'm replacing the driver side hard/metal brake line that runs to the rear on my EM1, but I can't get the cover near the front subframe off. As you can see, there is a silver bracket that slides through the cover as well as an inner plastic clip that separates the lines, but the way it is shaped around the 10mm stud makes it impossible to just slide out. How do I remove this cover and bracket? Thanks!

Were you able to replace the line? Your photos give me (lack of) rust envy.

Any tips or advice from others who have done this? Does the fuel tank need to come out to remove the rear section? Did you need to drop the front subframe for clearance?

From searching other posts, looks like most people are splicing in to fix rusted / damaged line, doing 'tucks', or just paying a shop to deal with it..
