Default Severe vibration and rear brakes dragging after rotor/pad/line install.

The lowdown.

-new pads
-new rotors
-new lines
-new wheels/tires
-raised ride height 1"
-painted calipers

I went for a test drive yesterday and I had ungodly vibration over 40mph. Also the rears were dragging and smoking. I am going back out to the garage tonight to adjust the e-brake cable and make sure the rear pistons are lined up correctly. I'll update ASAP. Thoughts/ideas?

See if all the pistons are working properly, not sticking in any position.
Make sure your brake lines are not binding anywhere.
Make sure new wheels are in balance.
Had you went to Expo you probably would not be having this problem. <-----sorry I had too

Make sure you bleed all the air out of the system. Rotate the tires around and see if the vibration changes. You may need to get them rebalances

They were just balanced. 0 miles on them. I adjusted the ebrake cable and fixed the rear pistons. I still have vibration. The front pass wheel and the rear driver wheel both wobble like they are warped. I swapped them around and they still wobble. It's not the wheels though, so I assume its the disc? Can a warped disc make it wobble even when its NOT under braking?

I know you mentioned that you swapped the wheels but from my experience with countless instances of vibration on many cars it has always been the wheel/tire, never the rotors, bearings, or axles.

However, you mentioned that the vibration starts at low speeds which suggests it's not a tire balance issue. Maybe a bad new tire or a bad rim. Do you have winter wheels? If so, try them.

To eliminate the brake rotors, try your old rotors as well.

If it were just a matter of tire balancing, the wheels wouldn't be dragging and smoking the way he described; it would ONLY be a vibration.

Pull the wheels off the rears and try and turn the spindle with ur hands. If they don't move (b/c of surface tension) there's a possibile issue with ur caliper (bad piston or ur ebrake cables need to be retensioned). If U take the caliper off and the problem persists U have a sticky wheel bearing (happened on my em1 rusted hubs). Also you can shake the hub back and forth and if it vibrates U probably have a bad wheel bearing.
